"Danila studied at Repin Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. A trained wood carver, Danila used to do restoration work on 19th-century furniture. His main materials are gypsum, wood, stone, ceramics, and bronze. The artist employs unconventional techniques by combining different materials within one composition, e.g., organic materials with glass, plastics and wood. His works often turn to exploration of nature and the modes of its interactions with humans. The imagery in Danila’s work draws from classical ancient sculpture.

Intro
The "form follows function" principle highlights the importance of utilitarian simplicity in modern architecture.
A key example of this idea is the housing design in the Johnathan Hay Centre, which offered culturally specific living spaces for laborers and migrants from rural areas.

Clear lines and simple forms are more than a style choice—they make spaces feel functional and coherent by giving every element a clear purpose and role.
